Compensation range for this role is :$120,000 - $135,000

As aDirector, Carrier Operations (Process Improvements) at RXO,you'll build the centralized carrier operations team to improve routing and carrier settlement performance. This role will provide governance of processes and tools that aid in responsibly managing third-party transportation costs across the Last Mile network. What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Set and rollout standards for settlement and routing processes across markets through creating SOPs, playbook maintenance, developing a training/coaching program and regular field communications
  • Collaborate with RVPs and Directors to adopt the centralized carrier operations model, including processes, scorecard adherence and performance and network governance
  • Set priorities for each team member and ensure team is focused on highest impact activities
  • Oversee the development of a carrier operations scorecard and lead efforts to bring visibility into operations performance through existing management cadence
  • Develop tactics to encourage long-term accountability for regional vice presidents, directors and managers to hold the bar on performance and continuous improvement over time
  • Oversee rate creation and tech integrations working closely with carrier operations team members
  • Work closely with finance, technology, regional vice presidents, directors, and RXO leadership

What you'll need to excel:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • 7 years of experience in carrier development, delivery, distribution logistics and facility/warehouse management
  • Experience performing complex analyses of data, processes, policies, procedures and/or systems

It would be great if you also have:

  • Bachelors' degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of experience in the logistics and transportation industry
  • Proven leadership and collaboration ability to create strong relationships with leadership team
  • Ability to influence and motivate change across an organization
  • Experience effectively managing a project team and prioritize actions against business needs
  • Strong critical thinking and problem management skills
  • Must be able to think outside the box and quickly solve problems
  • Strong coaching skills and the ability to train other team members
