Ryan Construction Inc is Hiring a Project Manager Near Suffolk, VA

Project Manager

Position location: Suffolk, VA

Company

Ryan Construction and Ryan Marine (Ryan) is a leading maintenance, repair, site work and specialty construction contractor serving large blue-chip industrial and government customers in the mid-Atlantic region.

In December 2022, the Company partnered Boyne Capital, a Miami, FL-based Private Equity firm that seeks to forge lasting and collaborative relationships with companies whose founders are still deeply involved in growing their businesses.

Opportunity

Reporting to the CEO, the Project Manager will plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, organize and manage multiple large and complex projects with limited supervision but very interactive and proactive communication with senior leadership.
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
  • Provide monthly cost analysis for your active assignments.
  • Ensure that jobs are completed according to schedule and meet underwriting goals.
  • Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed.
  • Take an active role in developing and mentoring others including general foremen.
  • Identify new work opportunities and cultivate relationships with new customers.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed estimates by the estimating team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as construction project manager.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • 5 years of project management experience required.
  • Willing/able to be onsite at the HQ located in the Suffolk, VA area.
  • PMP or equivalent certification a plus.
