As the Pruning Supervisor/ Crew Lead, your role will entail leading and developing a team atmosphere committed to living out the mission and vision of RYAN Lawn & Tree. In your capacity as the Pruning Supervisor/ Crew Lead, you will assume the responsibility of leading a team comprising six dedicated associates within the pruning department, with a focus on fostering a team environment, driving revenue generation exceeding one million dollars.

If you love working outside, this role will involve leading a team, ground work, pruning and tree climbing.

Responsibilities:

• Completing pruning work on client properties and will assist in diagnostic sales for pruning including add on sales as needed on client properties.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment as well as efficiently on your own while taking care of client properties and taking pride in the end results of their work.
• Continuing on the job and in the classroom training on all aspects of Ryan provided services with the goal of being able to service the client at a higher level with each year of employment.
• Will interact with clients on a daily basis communicating the process and expectations of services needed and services performed along with recommendations for other Ryan services needed on their property.
• Possesses a Thorough knowledge of pruning practices and can work aloft at a minimum of 25 feet. Thorough knowledge of shrub maintenance standards.
• Develops the skills of team members and drives the team's efficiencies.
• Directs and manages the members of a pruning team. Responsible for daily production of the team, safety and client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 8 years of pruning experience
• Valid drivers license & ability to obtain DOT certification
• Maintain state issued pesticide license applicator license: ornamental and lawn 
• EHAP Certification preferred 
• ISA Certification preferred 
• Demonstrates Thorough knowledge pruning practices, arboriculture, pruning safety and other Ryan services along with proficiency of field based software systems.
• General knowledge of department specific equipment maintenance
• Ability to work outside in all weather, year round
• Safely operates departmental specific equipment
• Proficient with Microsoft and Google software platforms
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, internally and externally
• Ability to climb and work aloft
