Position Description :

Specialty Metals Processing, part of the Ryerson family of companies, has an opportunity for a Machine Operator. As a Machine Operator you are responsible for machine set up, part processing and part inspection.

This position is available in 2nd. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 6 : 00 am to 3 : 00 pm.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Set-up & shutdown of machine
• Scrap management for remnants
• Material inspection to ensure quality specifications
• Calibration of measuring equipment
• Ensuring size material finish and accuracy of the finished goods
• Working in a safe manner as outlined during training and use prescribed safety equipment including PPE
• All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Position Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Some machine operations experience preferred
• Strong ability to read mechanical drawings and use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges)
• Exerting 20 to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 lbs. of force frequently, and greater than negligible up to 10 lbs.

• Successfully pass the Ramsay Corporation Combined Basic Skills Assessment which evaluates your reading, math, inspection & measurement, and process monitoring & problem-solving skills
