The Gig…As a Quality Assurance Technician, you are responsible for in-process and finished product inspections to ensure product quality is being maintained.
What You’ll Do…
- Develop, implement, and oversee quality audit frequency to ensure proper appearance and functionality of our product.
- Develop, implement, and oversee quality testing parameters for our product.
- Develop, implement, and oversee a system of tracking internal defects to report to supervision and management.
- Conduct random audits on all manufacturing processes throughout the shift.
- Conduct audits of all products staged for packaging operations.
- Segregate nonconforming material utilizing hold tags and notify supervision.
- Stop any process where nonconforming material is being produced and notify supervision.
- Work with the operations team to develop and implement changes that will have a positive impact on product quality.
- Maintains records related to all aspects of quality operations
- Must comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies
- Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time
- Ability to lift light to medium weight up to 75 lbs.
- May stand for prolonged periods of time
- May stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull or do fine manipulations
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years’ experience or five years’ experience in a related quality position.
- Background must include manufacturing processes in a production environment.
- Knowledge of quality audits, quality control and quality inspections.
- Knowledge of inspection methodology and techniques.
- Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and be able to work independently.
- Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed
