Salary Range: Based on experience

Job Summary: As Ryse’s Accountant, you will have the opportunity to support Ryse’s finance department by preparing various financial reports tracking the company’s assets, cash flow, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other strategic financial activities.

Responsibilities: 

• Generate balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements
• Perform general cost accounting, A/R, A/P, sales and use tax, and other related duties
• Prepare and finalize month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financials 
• Process and code invoices, set up new accounts and perform account reconciliations 
• Update the general ledger with accurate data and company accounts 
• Comply with local, state, and federal accounting and reporting regulations 
• Conduct regular and ad hoc internal audits of financial records to resolve discrepancies
• Stay abreast of current and newly enacted legislation regarding accounting best practices
• Prepare bank reconciliations 

Education and Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Experience as an accountant or related role 
• Experience in the consumer packaged goods industry (CPG) 
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) 
• Expert use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.) 
• Experience using Oracle’s NetSuite applications
