Basic Position Summary:
Our Project Engineers learn all aspects of the construction process. Project Engineers will have the opportunity to work in estimating and as a member of a Project Team in the field.
Responsibilities/Functions:

• Participate in pre-construction planning and design activities
• Assist the Project Manager with the following activities
• Financial Management & Cost Reporting
• Primavera Scheduling
• Subcontractor & Vendor Management
• Client Relations
• Interpret specifications, designs and drawings and prepare quantity takeoffs
• Using AutoCAD to prepare drawings and sketches to support change orders, estimates, etc.
• Verify work-in-place quantities for invoicing/pay quantities
• Maintain submittal logs and timely receipt and review of submittals and shop drawings
• Verify project hours, tasks, cost codes and equipment charges
• Participate in all phases of the Estimating process

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Experience as an intern in a construction company is preferred
• E.I.T. preferred
• Ability to read and interpret plans
• Excellent computer skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel as required
