The S&G Supply Chain Assistant is responsible for assisting S&G’s VP of Purchasing with a variety of administrative work. This position will focus on numerous objectives each week, so being able to multi-task in this role is pivotal. This position specializes in various roles such as: Inventory management, daily reports for the VP of Purchasing, cataloging new inventory, label and sign creation for new inventory, inputting special requests from sales staff, composing and responding to vendor emails, detailing project specifications in conjunction with the VP of Purchasing, and drafting pricing notes.
This is a full-time, in-office position. Days worked will be Monday through Friday; exact hours to be set upon hire. There is no remote work/WFH option for this position.
The Supply Chain Assistant must:

• Be self-motivated and adept at problem solving
• Able to clearly communicate verbally and via email
• Engage in professional behavior with Company staff, customers, and vendors
• Work cohesively with peers and members of the corporate team
• Able to function independently with minimal oversight

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create store Retail and Sale signs, create sign theme, handle some manual cutting of signs and labels, etc.
• Oder from vendors under direction from VP supply.
• Respond to vendor emails
• Input special requests from sales staff
• Cataloging
• Create Daily Reports for VP of Purchasing
• Inventory Management
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Skills and Specifications:

• Intermediate computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Accurate and efficient data entry
• Punctuality, dependability, and responsiveness.
• Capable of preserving confidential/sensitive Company information.
• Can work alone or as part of a team.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, both writing and verbal.
• Ability to work with minimal oversight and problem solve in real-time.

Education and Qualifications Preferred:

• 2 years administrative experience preferred.

Requirements of the Position:

• The supply chain assistant will work at a computer display terminal for 6 to 8 hours a day.
• The supply chain assistant must be able to commute daily to the West Sacramento office.
