Are you someone who wants to make a difference in the Arab American community? We are working on various public health initiatives to support the multi-generational communities across California (specifically southern California / Orange County) and need a bilingual outreach specialist who can work in both English and Arabic to talk with community members and get input on public health programs.

We are looking for someone who likes to engage with community members and is a great listener. At the same time, they can work with deadlines and want to help create communication campaigns that better our communities.

Who's SGA Marketing?

SGA Marketing is a nimble, mission-driven communications firm that focuses on public health, environmental and community-based issues. We help our clients (mostly local governments) turn policy into change at the community and individual levels.

We are a marketing firm, but we don't help our clients sell things. However, we believe those same tools can be used to improve the public good.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research on target audience and market trends by conducting in person intercept surveys.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute content marketing campaigns
• Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines
• Is flexible, open with engaging people in the "public square," and is persistent at getting the job done.

Experience:

• Proven experience working in both English and Arabic.
• Proficiency in copy editing and proofreading in Modern Standard Arabic (and ability to trans/create or adapt between English and Arabic)
• Familiarity with social media marketing strategies and platforms
• Knowledge of content creation best practices and trends
