Are you someone who wants to make a difference, is interested in promoting public health issues, and likes engaging community members of various ages? We are working on a public health initiative to support multi-generational ethnic communities in Orange County and currently looking for individuals who can work in both English and Farsi (to help reach the Iranian American community).

Who's SGA Marketing?

SGA Marketing is a nimble, mission-driven communications firm focusing on community-based issues. We help our clients (mostly local governments) turn policy into change at the community and individual levels.

We are a marketing firm, but we don't help our clients sell things. Instead, we believe those same tools can be used to improve the public good.

Responsibilities:

- Create engaging and persuasive copy for various marketing materials, including print advertising, social media posts, and website content

- Talk to community members to gather feedback on local government/public health programs

- Conduct thorough research on target audience and market trends to develop effective messaging strategies

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute content marketing campaigns

- Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines

- Conduct surveys with various community members (across different ages) to provide input on effective outreach

Experience:

- Proven experience engaging community members through public outreach

- Proficiency in copy editing and proofreading

- Experience talking with people (one on one) in English and Farsi

This role offers flexibility in terms of working hours and location. You will have the freedom to showcase your creativity while delivering impactful messaging to target audiences.
