Job Description

10g, located in Woodridge, IL, is a joint venture between Caterpillar and The Morey Corporation. They are part of CAT and work on sustaining engineering and some product development. They help develop all electronics that you would find on a CAT piece of equipment from displays, clusters, joy sticks, control modules, etc.

This candidate will be managing several projects at a time which can include products like gauges, clusters, displays, sensors, controllers, etc. They will also be aiding in Supply chain management and sourcing components from suppliers / vendors along with migrating manufacturing suppliers.

75% of the time will be dedicated to project management activities. The project management activities this candidate will be responsible for will be mostly tied to project health, meaning is the project on track / on time, are they hitting milestones and deadlines, etc. Much of this will be managed through the use of Gannt charts. They will also be responsible for providing updates to project stakeholders. The prohects they will be managing will be predominately Hardware Development / Electrical Engineering. They will also interface with Software Engineering and Mechanical Engineering teams that have inputs that tie into the product.

25% of the time will be spent on technical hands on activities mostly around testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- 7 years of experience

- BS in Electrical Engineering or similar

- Strong experience in project management

- Ability to manage several projects at a time

- Strong experience with Gannt charts

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to communicate and provide updates to project stakeholders

- Past technical experience within hardware engineering and electrical engineering is desired

- Ability to step in and help execute tests as needed
