Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our ICU team. As an ICU Nurse, you will provide critical care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Your expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in monitoring and managing patients with complex medical conditions. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the ICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and other diagnostic information
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Assist with procedures such as venipuncture, wound care, and insertion of intravenous lines
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic)
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and post-discharge care
Qualifications:
- Valid
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an ICU setting- will except 1 year of experience in ICU, but must has been an RN for 5 years.
- Proficiency in ambulatory surgery center (ASC) protocols and procedures
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding system for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Experience administering injections and performing venipuncture
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
