Job Title: Tax Auditor

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Tax Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex tax issues effectively. As a Tax Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting thorough tax audits, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and providing valuable insights and recommendations to our clients.

Key Responsibilities For Tax Auditor:

• Perform detailed audits of financial records and tax returns to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Analyze financial statements, supporting documents, and internal controls to identify discrepancies, errors, and potential tax liabilities.
• Stay current with changes in tax regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide informed recommendations to clients and senior management.
• Communicate audit findings, issues, and recommendations to clients in a clear and professional manner.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and effective communication.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and documentation of findings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain organized and secure records of all audit processes and results.
• Provide guidance to clients on tax compliance and planning strategies.
• Assist clients in implementing corrective actions to address audit findings and improve their tax compliance practices.

Qualifications for Tax Auditor:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of [4] years of experience in tax auditing, public accounting, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Compensation For Tax Auditor:$60,000- $73,000 Annually (DOE) - Direct Hire Position
