Position SummaryMen’s Ice Hockey seeks an assistant coach who will provide assistance to the Head Coach of Men’s Ice Hockey in all facets of the program, with a focus on Goaltending Development and the recruiting of goalies. Also aids in the recruitment of all other players as well. Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide daily goalie skills and individual film reviews with all goalies. Aid in planning and directing player development, conditioning, training, and performance of the team members; game preparation, coaching, and administration.Assist and support the development of all our student-athletes to reach their potential academically, athletically, and socially.Considerable secondary responsibility in successfully developing a championship roster of quality student-athletes that will positively represent the university in the community while supporting and encouraging a community outreach attitude.Advancement of the university strategic plan.All other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Other DutiesA positive track record for communicating, interacting, and developing players at a high level.Adheres to all NCAA rules and regulations, as well as policies of the department and University.Must possess the organizational and interpersonal skills to recruit, supervise, and teach Division one athletes.A positive track record for communicating, interacting, and developing players at a high level.Unusual Working ConditionsDays, nights, and weekends will be required. Expected presence at games and practices in accordance with the recruiting schedule.Travel is included.
