SAFA GOODS, LLC. is a national wholesale distributer of vape and smoke products located in Port Charlotte, FL looking for a Full-time Tax Accountant to join our team. An ideal candidate will be highly resourceful with strong organizational skills. The candidate will be responsible for filing and remitting monthly excise filings for up to 20 states and help ensure the company is compliant with federal, state, and local excise tax rates.

Responsibilities:

· File and remit monthly excise tax 20 states.

· Help file monthly PACT reports.

· To ensure the company is compliant with accurate federal, state, and local excise tax rates.

· Perform internal audits.

· Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws.

The ideal candidate has:

· An A.S. or higher degree in accounting.

· Preferred 1-2 years of experience in accounting or related field.

· Preferred 1-2 years of experience with excise tax, sales tax or related field.

· Knowledge of Microsoft 365.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Must pass a post-offer criminal background screen
