Safe Harbor is a nonprofit organization that provides shelter, supportive services, and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We also provide education, awareness, and resources to our community.

Since Safe Harbor began as a grassroots effort by a dedicated group of citizens in 1997, our services and practices have continued to grow and evolve to meet the needs of survivors, those impacted by violence, and our community. We have implemented strengths-based, trauma-informed best practices recognizing that each person we serve is an expert in their experience.

Safe Harbor Crisis Center strives to create a community where violence and abuse are not tolerated. Our prevention and intervention services can help empower each individual to reduce violence in Davis County.

Job Purpose:

This position supervises the day-to-day client services of the Therapy Program. This role provides therapeutic services and case management for sexual assault and domestic violence primary and secondary survivors. The Director of Mental Health is a leadership role providing support to all other Therapist positions.

Summary of Descriptions and Responsibilities:

  • Provides individual and group therapy services to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
  • Develops methods, approaches, or procedures to meet program requirements and survivor's needs.
  • Is responsible for crisis intervention, assessment and implementation of treatment plans for interpersonal violence survivors.
  • Reviews clients' progress with data management tools used to track and maintain record on an ongoing basis.
  • Provides direction and support to the Therapy Program and all therapists, including peer support for documentation standards and data collection.
  • Provides training and education to advocate staff as requested.
  • Recruits and provides clinical supervision to Associate-Level Therapists and Therapist Interns
  • Reviews and provides feedback regarding Therapy Team’s intake, treatment plan, and discharge documentation
  • Facilitates Therapy Program team meetings
  • Oversees and reports on therapy-specific grant goals and objectives
  • Manages Therapy Program budget
  • Coordinates therapy team schedules
  • Conducts monthly 1x1s and quarterly performance reviews with therapy staff
  • Reviews and approves therapy team timesheets
  • Determines and monitors therapist caseload sizes
  • Collaborates with community partners to maintain and expand referral options for clients
  • Manages Therapy Program waitlist
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • You have a valid driver's license and are able to pass a background investigation check.
  • You have a LCSW or CMHC, as recognized by the Division of Public Licensing for the State of Utah.
  • You have a master’s degree acceptable for a counseling license from an accredited university.
  • You have at least 18 months experience providing direct service to interpersonal violence survivors.
  • You have some management or supervision experience and are 2 years post licensure
  • You are able to relate positively to persons who are diverse in age, ethnicity, socioeconomic levels, beliefs and lifestyles.
  • You have a passion for Safe Harbor Crisis Center’s mission.
