What we need...

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our General Ledger team. The ideal candidate will possess at least five years of accounting experience, preferably with a background in Public Accounting, and have a strong understanding of financial planning and analysis (FP&A). This role requires a proactive leader who can manage month-end close processes, perform reconciliations, forecast cash flow, prepare comprehensive financial reports, and lead audit engagements.

What you'd do...

• Month-End Close: Coordinate and execute the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
• Reconciliations: Oversee the reconciliation of accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly
• Cash Flow Forecasting: Develop and maintain cash flow forecast models to support financial planning and decision-making
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP principles, ensuring transparency and accuracy
• Audit Leadership: Manage and lead annual financial audits, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion
• Team Leadership: Build and lead the General Ledger team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• FP&A Collaboration: Partner closely with the FP&A team to provide financial insights, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and contribute to strategic planning initiatives
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies

What you'd need...

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred
• At least five years of progressive accounting experience, with demonstrated leadership abilities
• Prior experience in a CPA firm highly desirable
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

This position is based in our office in St Louis Park, MN. Because we are in the early stages of building our Corporate team, we have found it valuable to be together in the office Monday-Thursday, and most of us work remotely on Fridays. We all have flexibility to work remotely on ad hoc days as personal demands arise.
