SafetyNet Behavioral Healthcare, a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PTRF) for adolescent females age 12-18 is seeking to hire a Program Manager. The position is responsible for ensuring that direct care staff adhere to SafetyNet policies and procedures in such a way as to maintain a positive therapeutic treatment milieu. Strong organizational skills are necessary as the candidate will be responsible for scheduling employees to work various shifts and identifying which direct care staff will be more effective with different treatment groups within the program. Additionally, the candidate must have an understanding of the normal steps of progressive employee discipline, personnel documentation, and an ability to motivate and lead a team of direct care staff. This position is also part of the crisis intervention team, which works together to resolve situations when residents are in crisis. In summary, the position has two primary functions: 1) to help provide effective resident treatment and crisis prevention by ensuring that direct care staff adhere to SafetyNet policies and procedures {maintaining therapeutic milieu} and 2) to help directly resolve acute resident crisis situations. Consequently, it is imperative that the selected candidate possesses a solid understanding of how clinical issues affect behavior and how behavioral change can occur by the use of an effective therapeutic treatment milieu. Thus, a Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field is strongly preferred, with preference given to candidates holding a corresponding professional license (LPC, LGSW, or LCSW) and/or relevant treatment experience. Prior management is essential for this position. The candidate reports directly to the campus clinical director to make sure that the treatment milieu is in line with overall treatment goals for the campus and each resident. Relocation is required if a candidate is not already living within 30 miles of the facility.
