In the role of Design Engineering Specialist, you:
- Use CAD software and equipment to design new products based on implemented technologies.
- Collaborate with customer Engineering to develop solutions tailored on customer's requirements.
- Develop knowledge of company drafting and modeling standards,
- Maintain a comprehensive filing system and computer database for all documents to be retained in the document control center.
- Manage the operation of the document control center to ensure the users have the latest revision of appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
- Use of the PLM system, Configuration Management, and AS9100/ISO 9001 quality requirements.
Hybrid work environment, involving onsite at our Denton office and work from home, may be available for this position. Must reside within commuting distance from our Denton office.
The detailed responsibilities of the position are the following ones:
Use computer assisted design/drafting (CATIA, AutoCAD and/or Inventor) software and equipment to develop designs.
Create and revise production drawings (detail and assembly drawings).
Draft detailed multi-view drawings of products, and draw finished designs from sketches.
Design/Draft test jigs and test samples for new product qualification.
Design/Draft jigs and tooling based on product needs to help manufacturing.
Responsible for generating an organized file system for Production Drawings.
Have comprehensive understanding of the document management system and the standards for compliance and control.
Collect and maintain files of the latest revision level documentation necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing processes as well as customer configuration management.
Timely distribution of latest revision level documentation to all appropriate users and ensuring that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution.
Perform various administrative duties for the support of the Engineering Department.
Responsible for Customer Web Portal communication related to documentation and Engineering Department support
Responsible for entering, modifying and ensuring the accuracy of engineering data loaded into production MRP system.

This position requires an Associate's Degree in a related field, preferably minimum 3 years in Engineering and/or Manufacturing.
