Saft is Hiring a Sales Manager Eastern US Region Near Valdosta, GA

Saft produces high performance and high reliability batteries. This position is part of a division support industrial and mobility markets in the United States (industrial, mobility and infrastructure. Primarily, the mandate is to grow the stationary battery solutions (nickel, lithium) in the named region for the industrial and infrastructure markets. The sales manager is expected to conduct both business development and territory maintenance activities. The regional market access is generally done through manufacturer's representatives. He/she will also be responsible for direct named house accounts in the territory. The sales manager is required to execute conduct technical presentations to influence engineering in specifying Saft's products in projects. He/she is also leading the strategy for several proposals per year.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Proven work experience as a B2B outside sales representative, preferably in the electrical solution or other technology product market
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in field sales for technical solutions
  • Proven record in achieving growth and budget on a consistent basis
  • Proficient with computers and advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience's needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Travel is required - approximately 50% of the time
  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Will help grow the stationary battery solutions by developing the existing business and creating new opportunities to meet or exceed our targets for both bookings and sales in year. While the focus is on stationary battery solutions, there might be requirements to develop business for other applications within the division.
  • Will Ensure the territory coverage is optimized by
    • Creating, executing, and adjusting each territory's growth strategies, which includes the appropriate use of reps and other channels (house accounts VAR, reseller, service providers).
    • Managing rep performance through quarterly reviews to discuss results to date, actions, open projects and quotes, new customers, competition, and quote hit rate.
    • Managing and sharing opportunities and open quote information through company-wide sharing tool (CRM).
    • Ensure that each sales rep/OEM/service company is trained properly. Organize Rep Training via skype.
  • Will plan and execute technical presentations to identify and establish relationships with consultants, engineering firms, EPCs, FEEDs serving the Power Generation & Distribution/Industrial market on the Eastern Region.
  • Will meet with existing and new target customers to identify, visit and establish relationship with new accounts including past accounts that have not purchased our batteries from us in the last three years. To grow business, we need to find new customers.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback internally and externally
