SAFY of America is Hiring a Regional Trainer Near Bowling Green, KY

SAFY is seeking a PRN Trainer for our Bowling Green division in Kentucky. As a PRN Trainer you will be responsible for the training and development of foster parents, adoptive parents, and staff.

Training/LicensingWhat You’ll Do
  • Provide ongoing training to staff and foster parents in classroom setting and/or by using different media such as video conferencing, Teams, etc. Training should be provided based on training plans created by the division/state and/or as requested to assist with performance improvement of staff or foster parents.
  • All sessions, participants, and sign in sheets must be collected. Communicate with supervisor and divisions/states on the reception and effectiveness of the training. Work with supervisor to create post test and training evaluations to measure effectiveness.
  • Search, evaluate, and recommend curricula for training, as well as coordinate and develop curricula and materials according to identified training needs.
Compliance/Reporting
  • Collaborate with division and corporate staff to improve, enhance, and maintain foster parent retention.
Other
  • Complete SAFY Relias and DEI training as needed
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of SAFY staff by participating in joint meetings, and problem identification and resolution.
  • Establish and maintain a supportive and positive working relationship with youth, foster parents, referring agencies, and other SAFY stake holders.
  • Attends required meetings within division, region, and central office (team and/or community partners).
  • Meets regularly with supervisor to discuss issues and performance.
  • Sensitive and responsive to the cultural differences of staff, SAFY youth, foster parents, referral sources and the public.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, child & family studies, or other approved related field of human services.
  • Master’s degree highly preferred.
  • Social work or counseling license preferred.
  • Three years of experience in the field working with children, adolescents and families.
  • Valid driver license, acceptable driving record and auto insurance coverage to meet travel requirements; may require transporting youth if needed.
  • Operate a computer with Microsoft Office, other software, agency databases and online systems.
  • Reliable phone system for communication.
  • Current certification in First Aid, CPR, and de-escalation training.
What We Offer
  • $300.00 per completed training which includes everything from start to finish.
  • $25.00 Per Hour Training Rate.
