SAFY is Hiring a Manager of Foster Home Licensing Near Indianapolis, IN

SAFY is seeking a Full Time Manager of Foster Home Licensing & Engagement for our Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Mishawaka, Merrillville, and Southern IN divisions in Indiana.

As a Manager of Foster Home Licensing & Engagement you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a high performing statewide team to meet established new home licensing targets, execute foster home engagement activities to increase foster home satisfaction, and gather feedback through surveys and focus groups to keep a pulse on the health and satisfaction of our foster home network.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop processes and individual team skills to consistently meet or exceed new home licensing targets.
  • Partner with each Foster Parent Recruiter on the development of the local recruitment plan for each division
  • Lead Growth and Development Meetings for the state/division
  • Training and skill development of Foster Home Recruiters and Licensing Specialists statewide, including but not limited to:
  • Manage the initial onboarding and training for all new Foster Home Recruiters and Licensing Specialist
  • Conduct coaching sessions and ride-a longs with Licensing Specialist and Foster Parent Recruiter
  • Coaching and role play sessions should happen at least quarterly, and more frequently if significant skill development is needed
  • Complete bi-annual skills inventories on each team member to inform future skill development
  • Bi-Monthly supervision and coaching sessions
  • Manage and own feedback processes to keep a pulse on the health and satisfaction of our foster home network, including but not limited to:
  • Place phone calls to gather feedback on our licensing process each week to 20% of the homes that have been in the pipeline for 30-40 days and 20% of the homes that have been in the pipeline for 60-70 days
  • Review survey results from Info Session surveys and Lead Inquiry surveys to help plan for training and development of each Foster Parent Recruiter
  • Review survey results from homes in the Applying Status at 30 and 60 days to help plan for training and development of each Licensing Specialist
  • Own and drive initiatives aimed at enhancing Foster Parent Support and Satisfaction.
  • Develop, and manage the Foster Parent Mentor Program, including but not limited to:
  • Match homes in the pipeline process with an existing foster home. This mentor/mentee relationship will persist until the new home reaches their 1-year mark.
  • Ensure the mentor incentive is paid out timely and accurately to foster parent mentors.
  • Assist in the execution of Foster Parent Engagement events.

Other Duties:

  • Backup of daily/weekly tasks in the event of paid time off or turnover on the statewide team.
  • Interpret and understand state/federal/contract regulations and standards.
  • Participate in rule violation investigations for select divisions and placement preservation meetings.
  • Review and approve certifications and re-certifications for all foster homes.
  • SAFE Home Study Supervision.
  • File review/licensing STARS oversight.
  • Participate in performance quality improvement process and execute any assigned tasks.
  • Successful completion of all required training pertaining to job.
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship, sensitive and responsive to the cultural differences with all levels of SAFY staff, clients, families and vendors.
  • Ability to work nontraditional hours daily/weekly to fulfill position duties; may include nights and/or weekends.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience required.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an Indiana LCPA, preferred.
  • Experience with Indiana foster parent recruitment and licensing of foster homes preferred.
  • Problem solving, organizational skills, ability to multi-task, excellent communication skills (oral and written), conflict resolution.
  • Valid driver license, acceptable driving record and auto insurance coverage to meet travel requirements; may require transporting youth if needed.
  • Current certification in First Aid/ CPR, and de-escalation training.
  • Microsoft Office products, agency databases and online systems, other computer software as required.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to provide examples of a history of maintaining compliance with state, federal, internal agency standards and avoiding plans of correction.

  • Targeted hiring range: $50,000.00 to $62,000.00
