Sagamore Hills Animal Hospital (SHAH) is a small animal veterinary hospital located in Sagamore Hills, Ohio. Conveniently positioned between Akron and Cleveland, Ohio, and accessible to all greater Cleveland suburbs. Founded in 1989 by Dr. Mark Hennis, SHAH is currently helmed by Dr. Mike Merick and a dedicated team of registered veterinary technicians, animal aides, and receptionists.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Registered Veterinary Technician at Sagamore Hills Animal Hospital. The Registered Veterinary Technician will be responsible for providing animal care, veterinary technology support, client education, and anesthesiology services. In addition, they will assist in pet care and perform specialized tasks under the supervision of veterinarians.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and experience in animal care and veterinary technology
  • Ability to provide client education on pet health and wellness
  • Proficiency in anesthesiology procedures and protocols
  • Excellent pet care skills, including handling and restraining animals

Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial:

  • Experience with laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing
  • Proficiency in radiography and imaging techniques
