CLINICAL HOUSING PROGRAM TEAM LEAD – ANN ARBOR, MI – IN-PERSON
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Clinical Housing Program Team Lead to oversee the day-to-day administrative and clinical supervision of our programs. This role involves ensuring strict adherence to agency policies, goals, and mission while maintaining program compliance and continuously evaluating for improvement opportunities. The role involves maintaining participant records, developing program policies, ensuring accurate program evaluation, and advocating for participants' rights. Additionally, it includes conducting outreach programs and collaborating with community organizations. The ideal candidate must excel in clinical assessment techniques, counseling, case management, and client advocacy while being culturally competent and sensitive to trauma. They should maintain confidentiality, navigate professional boundaries, engage in crisis intervention, and be familiar with community resources, particularly for homeless populations.
Responsibilities
Program Management (Housing and Veteran’s Services)
  • Manage program compliance and departmental adherence to administrative policies and procedures.
  • Continually assess program structure and content for improvement.
  • Monitor and maintain records and documentation for various programs.
  • Provides information for project or program evaluation reporting.
  • Submits required reports to city, local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Stay current with industry and agency rules and regulations.
Staff Oversight and Development
  • Foster an inclusive environment for staff and participants, valuing diversity.
  • Provides continual support and development to all staff, especially those within the Clinical Housing and Veteran's specialty.
  • Provides weekly group and individual clinical supervision to staff.
  • Ensure regular performance reviews are conducted to assess employee strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Ensures all staff are trained in all relevant trainings including but not limited to Ethics, Housing First, Critical Time Intervention, Progressive Engagement, De-escalation and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Supports on call staff.
  • Ensure training programs meet the needs of participants and staff.
Participant Support
  • Plans, implements, and supports the supportive services program operation.
  • Make final decisions regarding admission, continuation, and termination of participant services as appropriate.
  • Works directly with participants who have mental health related issues, substance use issues, and may work with participants who have a criminal background.
  • Supports participants in their homes.
Community Relations
  • Maintains a positive relationship with community partners, funding sources, coordinates closely with MAP HDC, LLC, property managers, and other supportive service agencies.
  • Represents the agency in community meetings; COC and WHA operated activities in planning and implementing community-wide initiatives to end homelessness.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social services, human services, or related field (required).
  • LMSW certification (required).
  • 5 years of experience in mental health, substance use disorder, or homeless services (required).
  • 3 years of supervisory experience (preferred).
  • Valid Michigan driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Possesses strong communication skills.
  • Can detect and discern visual stimuli and color.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods, traverse uneven surfaces, climb stairs, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
