Job Title: Part-Time, Work-From-Home Global Accounting Assistant

Your primary responsibility will be assisting our accountant with all accounting processes.

Responsibilities

- Process and manage incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Perform daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
- Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely collection.
- Assist the controller with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Support in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Help with audits (both internal and external) by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Perform other accounting duties and support the finance team as needed.

Skills Required

- Fluent in English

- Highly organized

- Detail-oriented

- Associate degree (Accounting or finance)

- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, Quick books, Google Suite, and Excel

- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts receivable processes

- Proven experience as an accounting clerk; accounts receivable and accounts payable clerk, or in a similar role

- Results-oriented (all deadlines must be met)

- Self-motivated (need to be able to work from home with limited daily oversight)

Optional Skills (preferred but not required)

- Bachelor’s Degree
- Familiarity with Foreign Currency

- Proficient in a foreign language

Job Specifics

- Minimum of 20 hours / 5 days per week (potentially more) Monday through Friday (9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm)

- Work from home on your own computer. You must have a PC. International phone calls through our Skype account.
