SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Director, CAO Strategy & Operations to support our Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. This role involves providing crucial support to the CAO, overseeing critical projects, and ensuring smooth operations across various teams overseen by the CAO – People (HR), Corporate IT, Facilities, and Legal.
As the Director, CAO Strategy & Operations, you will play a multifaceted role, serving as a trusted advisor, key planner, and decision-maker. Your responsibilities will span a broad range of activities, from collaborating on administrative tasks to actively participating in high-level initiatives. What you’d be doing:
  • Provide analysis, recommendations, and strategic insight on a variety of issues as a key advisor.
  • Assist in developing and implementing operational and strategic plans.
  • Hold team members accountable to bridge the gap between strategy and execution, ensuring the timely and effective implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Understand the needs of the team and work proactively to remove roadblocks that hinder their progress.
  • Act as a proxy in meetings and communications, representing viewpoints and making decisions when required. Serve as an information funnel and facilitator.
  • Take meeting notes and ensure proper follow-up on action items. Oversee the flow of information to ensure it is sequenced and relevant, while tracking and escalating priority issues when needed.
  • Manage a variety of special projects with organizational impact, collaborating with cross- functional teams to ensure successful completion within deadlines.
  • Compose internal and external communications, encompassing messages, reports, presentations, Excel sheets, and assorted materials, with a focus on meticulousness, data-driven insights, and impeccable design for optimal output.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and experience regarding all aspects of interactions, including projects, budgeting, staffing, contracts, and vendors.
  • Prioritize conflicting needs and manage multiple tasks with a proactive and outcome-focused approach.
  • Work with the Executive Assistant to manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel.
We’re looking for someone who has:
  • A bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated upward progression in HR operations.
  • Expert communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
Highly preferred candidates also have:
  • A master's degree in business, management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience as a Chief of Staff.
  • Certifications in SHRM or PHR.
  • Project management or leadership certifications, such as CPMP or PMP, are beneficial.
