SAIC is Hiring a Material Handling Laborer Near Hanahan, SC
SAIC is seeking a Material Handling Laborer for our Hanahan, SC location. This role is 100% on site.
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparing and arranging materials and products in bulk and non-bulk forms for distribution or storage
- Moving and loading or unloading equipment, materials, and products
- Driving forklifts and related material-handling machinery and equipment
- Performing physical tasks to transport or store materials
- Duties involve one or more of the following: manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices; unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations; or transporting goods by hand truck, cart, or wheelbarrow
- Reading and following written or verbal instructions
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Be able to safely complete all of the physical demands of the job in a manufacturing/warehouse environment, including but not limited to the following:
- Lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds, unassisted
- Walking, bending, sitting, or standing for extended periods
- Repeatedly lifting, handling, and moving material, tools, and equipment
- Forklift experience preferred, not mandatory. Must be comfortable transporting heavy equipment
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
