Description

SAIC has an opening for a Painter / Paint Technician / Paint Prep in Indianapolis, IN.

JOB DUTIES:

• Perform sanding, blending, cleaning, masking, and other tasking related to the preparation of industrial parts for paint finishes.
• Work with basic measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers.
• Email, Timecard entry, Job tracking data entry, etc.
• Follow written and common shop processes to perform work tasking but also be able to 'adapt and overcome' when appropriate.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: HS/GED and 6 years’ related experience.

BASIC SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGMENT REQUIRMENTS:

• Previous experience performing sanding, blending, cleaning, masking, and other tasking related to the preparation of industrial parts for paint finishes.
• Experience with basic measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers.
• Basic computer skills (Email, Timecard entry, Job tracking data entry, etc.)
• Candidate resume must document a minimum of six years of painting type work or related/similar technician experience to qualify.
• This employment includes a 120-day probationary period.
• Candidate will be expected to follow written and common shop processes to perform work tasking but also be able to 'adapt and overcome' when appropriate.

CLEARANCE:

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance; New Hire employee will be required to submit background information necessary for security clearance evaluation.

WORK WEEK:

• Monday-Friday, 40 hour week, 8 hours per day, 7am to 3:30pm
