Currently we are seeking a " Server System Validation Technician" for one of our clients that is a leading multination corporation.

Role : Server System Validation Technician

Location: Austin, TX

Type : Long Term Contract

Job Description:

• Setup and configure x86 platforms
• Develop and Execute Server System Validation Test plans (Operating Systems, Virtualization Environment, System Stress Applications)
• Support lab debug activities.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• Associates or Bachelor degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred, but not a requirement
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Good understanding of x86 and Server System Architecture, Operating Systems, Device Drivers, and BIOS ACPI
• Experience with Scripting and Server Automation Tools (Ruby, Python, Perl, Ansible, Jenkins, )
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills and pronounced attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Preferred OS requirements (install, set-up, configure and troubleshoot) MS Windows OS, Linux OS. X86 SW, Virtualization (VMware, Xen, KVM)
• Strong understanding of Virtualization environments including SRIOV (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, Xen)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good organizational skills to plan, prioritize and manage assigned workload, and to efficiently execute multiple projects at the same time.
