Saint Francis Manchester is A non-profit Assisted Living Community. We are seeking a self-motivated, friendly Volunteer Coordinator who has the flexibility to meet the community needs of our growing Volunteerprogram. This person will be required to work 24hrs a week, weekends and varying shifts.
Under minimal supervision plan, organize and coordinate the SFM Volunteer events while providing supervision for volunteers and community partners. Maintain Volunteer records and training in compliance with ALF Regulations. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, volunteers, co-workers, neighbors, vendors, community partners and general public.
1. Communicates in conjunction with the Life Enrichment Supervisor, Development and Marketing Departments pertinent information necessary for event planning.
2. Develop and maintain the SFM Volunteer event schedule in coordination with the Program Calendar and organizational needs.
3. Develop, manage and maintain positive community relationships and resources in conjunction with the Development and Marketing Departments.
4. Recruit volunteers and service providers in the nearby and surrounding community.
5. Develop and conduct volunteer orientation, and supervise volunteers as applicable.
6. Accurately maintain volunteer records and documentation using excel.
7. Ensure compliance with relevant Department of Social Services ALF Regulations.
8. Complete onboard process, train, supervise, and evaluate volunteers in an atmosphere of ongoing learning and personal development.
9. Assist volunteers with set up, clean up and materials as needed.
10. Make outbound calls to potential volunteers and community partners in conjunction with the Development and Marketing Departments.
11. Answer/respond to inbound calls.
12. Schedule, coordinate volunteer meetings.
13. Perform other work as needed or required.
