**Role Summary:**
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for ensuring the compliance of all inventory related policies and procedures across all Fulfillment Centers, Corporate Offices, Photo Studios and anywhere locations where Saks.com merchandise is stored. The position is responsible for ensuring standards are identical from facility to facility and will require scheduled visits at each location to perform audits. Additionally, the role will be responsible for the review and creation if needed of standardized reconciliations and exceptions reporting to ensure the physical operation and virtual results match. The Inventory Control Manager will also be tasked with identifying areas for process improvements, provide training as needed and partner with their AVP to create plans and strategies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
? Understand all aspects of Fulfillment Center operations that impact inventory accuracy
? Visit all sites to ensure policies & procedures are understood and actioned to standard. If deviations are found, facilitate training and feedback cadence to the management team ensuring deficiencies are corrected timely.
? Be the point person for all new facility & operations initiatives. Vet all processes before launch to ensure item file distortion or shortage is not created.
? Work with facility managers to ensure operations are stood up with proper KPIs and are hitting them at launch.
? Run and analyze daily reports to identify and address inventory issues
? Monitor cycle count results for all facilities
? Review Daily On hand reports
? Address Exception reporting
? Act as an impartial liaison between corporate team and Fulfillment Center teams
? Partner with Accounts Payable to investigate and address non-receipts impacting vendor payments
? Responsible for assisting with Physical Inventory preparation and reconciliation
? Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
? Entrepreneurial spirit with strong analytical, forecasting, problem solving, and detail orientation
? Ability to manage large sets and interpret data
? Demonstrated planning, organization, and decision-making skills
? A performance driven individual who demonstrates strong initiative and has superior leadership skills
**Requirements:**
? 2 years of Inventory Control (preferably in a DC environment)
? Advanced knowledge of Excel
? Knowledge of SQL a plus
? Problem solving skills and attention to detail
? Ability to write and update SOPs and Best Practice documents required
? Ability to travel 25% of the time
? Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination prior to beginning employment
**Experience:**
? BA/BS or 3-5 years equivalent work experience
? Experience with retail inventory procedures & systems
? Inventory adjustments, cycle counts & full physical inventories
