Role Summary:
We are seeking a Manager, Technology Procurement who will be responsible for managing the global technology spend for Saks, working closely with all IT and non-IT functional and divisional leaders, internal stakeholders, and external suppliers. This strategic role will partner with technology leadership to support rapid growth and deployment for a hyper growth company, focusing on all aspects of sourcing, supplier negotiations, contracting, and vendor management to support velocity and compliance.
Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Supply Management or related field
• 6-10 years of related experience in Procurement and the relevant spend categories with a record of increasing responsibility
• Prior experience in sourcing and negotiating Technology goods and services in a Fortune 500, or management consulting environment using strategic category management techniques to achieve results.
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, including strong relationship management experience
• Ability to work on multiple initiatives at a time, with the ability to prioritize and manage time to ensure initiatives are completed in a timely manner in a remote working environment
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with suppliers
• Experience in successfully using cost analysis and benchmarking to deliver negotiation outcomes to exceed the market index.
• Prior experience with Workday Strategic Sourcing (Scout) and/or other procurement workflow and contract management tools is a plus.
• Must possess the social intelligence to influence and lead at the most senior levels within the organization.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination prior to beginning employment.

Role Description:

• Lead the end-to-end strategic sourcing process for $150mm in spend for all SaaS / Software, Hardware, IT Professional Services and Telecom categories
• Review and analyze spend and supplier proposals to identify opportunities to improve price and business terms, and work with stakeholders and suppliers to negotiate improvements
• Serves as the principal liaison representing Saks with suppliers on all commercial and business relationship content, including but not limited to quality, cost, delivery, service, contracts, risks, and technology objectives
• Establish strong vendor relationships, effectively manage category supply base, perform advanced and intricate negotiations, and oversee the selection of key vendors
• Coordinate across internal Saks stakeholders to ensure clear communication of business goals, understand business requirements, and adherence with legal, information security, and other organizational controls.
• Develop and execute robust category strategies based on market and technology trends with a focus on innovation, service quality, cost, delivery, service, and technology
• Ensure expedient and compliant implementation of new contracts throughout the organization
• Execution of goals and objectives toward the defined annual operating and strategic plans of Saks where applicable
• Make appropriate fact-based recommendations to Saks stakeholders
• Establish strong cross functional partnerships with the Finance team to ensure budget adherence and cost containment
• Have a continuous improvement mindset to evolve process, procedure, and innovation
• Support the creation of new processes, procedures and documentation as part of a new procurement function for the company
