Salado Isolation Mining Contractors (SIMCO), an LLC of Bechtel, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as Inspection, Testing and Maintenance (ITM) Technician and join our team located in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
The successful candidate will perform scheduled ITM work on a variety of fire protection systems at a Class 2 Nuclear/Class 4 Mining facility. Work will include fire protection systems (fire alarm, fire sprinkler, fire suppression) located in an underground mine and in surface facilities. Supporting maintenance and operations in troubleshooting and post maintenance testing for fire protection systems. Must be able to pass a Pulmonary Function Test to qualify to wear and work in a respirator. Must be able to obtain NICET Fire Protection Level I Certification in Water Based Systems, Alarm and Detection Systems, or Special Hazards within one year of hire.

Minimum salary $55,555 per year of a larger salary range --the specific salary offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors, particularly the candidates relevant experience and education.
