Your Role With Us:

As the Assistant Nurse Manager in Salem Health's Operating Room, you will lead a dedicated team in delivering compassionate and effective care. Supervise and support our clinical staff to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, fostering a culture of excellence in patient care. Background/Expertise:

  • Bachelor of Science - Nursing (BSN) - Consideration will be given to ADN nurse if agree to complete BSN or MSN within three (3) years of hire into the position. Must sign agreement regarding BSN completion. Must obtain BSN within the 3 years to remain in the ANM position. Note: ANMs who were hired as an ADN prior to June 2023 and remain in the ANM role, are not required to obtain BSN.
  • Basic Life Support required.
  • Current unencumbered license to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon required.
  • Two (2) years minimum acute care RN experience in operating room required.
  • Charge RN experience preferred.
  • Certification in CNOR preferred.
  • Knowledge and application of principles of administration, supervision and management.
  • Possess advance knowledge and skill in techniques of the Operating Room.
  • Demonstrates advance knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical skills.
  • Works effectively under pressure and to use professional judgment in emergency situations.
  • Collaborates and work in a team environment; experience serving as a team leader a plus.
  • Communicates clearly and constructively - both written and verbal. (Legible handwriting, accurate spelling, clear enunciation, well-modulated voice). Demonstrates human relations skills and ability to relate well with others.
  • Advanced organizational and delegation skills.
