Your Role With Us:

As the Surgical Supply Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient management of surgical supplies in the operating room (OR) by working collaboratively with various departments. You will be responsible for generating cycle counts, managing QSight inventory adjustments, troubleshooting barcode issues, maintaining preference card accuracy, and providing QSight training to staff. Additionally, you will serve as the liaison among Supply Chain, Finance, and IT departments for supply item management and participate in the annual OR supply inventory count.

Background/Expertise:

  • Associates Degree is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Healthcare Supply experience required. Surgical supply experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications used to perform the duties of the position including, but not limited to: Qsight and Epic.
  • Intermediate skills in Excel. Experience in developing report criteria and formatting operational analysis preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate the scope and implications of operational change requests and balancing the change requests with system functionality required.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring end users to agreement regarding change requests required.
  • Success in managing the daily volume of data (e.g., supply item classifications, reconciliation).
  • Strong analytical skills and aptitude for detail.
  • Demonstrated skills in balancing operational requirements with system constraints. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, which provide the ability to interact positively and persuasively with a wide variety of people.
