Salemhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Services is an independent 110 bed not for profit long-term and short-term skilled nursing facility conveniently located in a beautiful country setting in Salem, NH. Since we opened our doors over 40 years ago, Salemhaven’s mission has been to serve the community of Salem and to do the best job possible.

Hours:

3:30pm - 7:30pm, Monday through Friday

Position:

Salemhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center currently has openings for a part-time dietary aide that has a positive attitude, great customer service skills, dependable, and strong work ethic. These are not seasonal positions.

Responsibilities:

• Set up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc.
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory
• Assist in keeping track of expenses and menu planning
• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances
• Prepare meals under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook
• Prepare meal selections on tray tickets
• Pour drinks for each tray
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Prior experience in the food services industry.
• Ability to prepare meals according to instructions.
• Experience operating cookware, bakeware, and cooking appliances.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in ServSafe.
• Previous customer service experience is a plus.
