We're Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI Data CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too - driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good - you've come to the right place.

At Slack, we are making work simpler, more cheerful, and more productive with our Security team supporting the unwritten fourth tenet of Slack's mission: make people's working lives more secure.
We're serious about protecting our customers, our product, and our company. We take a systemic approach to security and strive to ensure we provide low friction high-impact security across everything we do. We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to support and enable these efforts!
As a TPM, you understand the benefits of moving quickly and can champion methodologies within your team and across the organization. You will play a meaningful role in scaling our Security initiatives. You make decisions that are fair and consistent, with an eye toward velocity, stability, and scale. You thrive when given the chance to create programs and have a customer-centric mentality. This role will have an unparalleled opportunity to influence the trajectory of development within Slack Engineering!
Slack has a positive, diverse, and supportive culture-we look for people who are curious, inventive, and work to be a little better every single day. In our work together we strive to be smart, humble, hardworking and, above all, collaborative. If this sounds like a good fit for you, why not say hello?!

What you will be doing
  • Working cross functionally across the Security team, you will align, unblock and enable Security to deliver high impact cross-functional programs at Slack.

  • Be responsible for and develop our Security Operations programs while being flexible enough to support our Product Security and Risk and Compliance teams as needed.

  • Build frameworks to identify and drive technical and process improvement opportunities.

  • Partner with tech leads in facilitation of the development of strategic technical projects.

  • Champion security awareness and advocate for key projects and initiatives across engineering.

  • You work across organizations to ensure our processes we apply for work are secure.

  • Communicate status and schedules, handle risks, help reports evaluate trade-offs, and call out impediments.

  • Leverage internal data warehouse and visualization tools to identify gaps, track progress and inform data backed program decisions.

What you should have
  • 5 years experience developing and managing technical programs and sophisticated initiatives from initiation to completion for a SaaS/PaaS based organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or two years of equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.

  • At least 2 years of security specific technical experience.

  • Ability to work independently and communicate across multiple time zones

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with sufficient level of technical capability to effectively connect with engineers, scope technical programs, and identify technical risks

  • High attention to detail and initiative. Ability to adapt quickly.

  • Consistent track record of delivering complex projects and programs with cross-functional teams

  • Experience with JIRA and developing informative dashboards

Nice to have
  • Experience supporting or implementing Identity and Access Management best practices.

  • Experience in developing and managing security operations processes at scale for FEDRAMP certified products.

  • Experience structuring and running vulnerability management programs.
