This postion is located in Westcliffe, CO at our Custer County Healthcare Center.

All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a negative drug screen test*, criminal background check, reference checks, infection prevention procedures, TB test, Flu Shot, immunization records, physical and acknowledgement of policies

ESSENTIAL DUTIES PER AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

1. Greets patients, visitors, physicians and employees in a cordial and professional manner, being as helpful as possible.
2. Answers telephone promptly, transfers calls to the correct extension and takes messages when necessary. Practices telephone courtesy at all times, being as helpful as possible to the caller.
3. Directs patients to ancillary department(s) to receive ordered services.
4. Is proficient in CPSI registration maintaining a 95% minimum accuracy level that is tracked and
reviewed weekly.5. Capable of reading physician orders, verifies the order and treating physician with the patient, and ensure accuracy is captured within the CPSI application.
6. Collects, scans, and verifies insurance information and eligibility. Determines benefits and
provides information to counseling team so that discussion can occur with patient regarding
estimated out of pocket expense.
7. Obtains appropriate consents signed by patient and/or appropriate individual for all services being rendered.
