Payment Rate: Starting Salary $75,072. Increases commensurate with experience and training.
Qualifications:- Master’s Degree in Education Administration/Higher Education or Instruction/Instructional Design
- Current Kansas State Teaching Certificate
- Building Level Administrative Licensure
- Classroom Teaching Experience
Essential Functions:1. Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for the purpose of achieving high academic performance.
2. Manage, evaluate, and supervise effective and clear procedures for the operation and functioning of the school including instructional programs, extracurricular activities, discipline systems, personnel management, office operations, budgets and emergency procedures for the purpose of ensuring compliance with all laws, board policies and objectives of the Salina Public Schools.
3. Supervise the instructional programs of the school for the purpose of ensuring academic achievement for all students and meeting the goals set forth by the Board of Education.
4. Supervise and implement effective discipline procedures for the purpose of ensuring a safe, orderly virtual environment that creates high morale among staff and students.
5. Supervise assigned personnel (e.g. hiring, coaching, evaluating and terminating) for the purpose of ensuring student safety and academic success.
6. Utilizes effective oral and written communication skills when addressing students, staff, parents, and the community for the purpose of conveying data, policies and procedures, and/or District Objectives.
7. Use effective presentation skills when addressing students, staff, parents, and the community including appropriate vocabulary and examples, clear and legible visuals, and articulate and audible speech.
8. Develop and implement schedules that meet students’ needs.
9. Develop and implement a student application and selection process.
10. Develop and implement partnerships within the community so that project based learning can be implemented for students, gaining them job skills.
Required Testing Certificates & Licenses:Current Kansas teaching license
Current building leadership license
Valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability
FLSA Status: Exempt
Work Schedule: 213 day administrative contract.
