SUMMARY
The IT Support Technician I's primary role is to provide on the floor support for computer, printers, scan gun, cameras and network operations. The IT Support Specialist will provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users and members with a positive and professional approach. Complies with all safety, food safety, quality, SQF, GMP and USDA regulatory requirements.
This position is based in Denmark, WI and requires on-site attendance. Additionally, the role necessitates supporting early morning operations, with a start time of approximately 5 AM.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
  • Offer systems support to staff on the production floor and in the office.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic and mid-level technical issues.
  • Maintain inventory of all company IT related equipment and assets.
  • Order IT supplies for the company.
  • Strong hardware troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots a wide range of software used throughout.
  • Performs and/or assists in hardware/software upgrades to existing computer equipment as needed.
  • Document issues and solutions using applicable systems and tools.
  • Develop training material and conduct technical training in small groups and one-on-one sessions throughout the company as needed.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
  • Support the Lean Manufacturing initiatives of the company.
  • Promote and support a collaborative work environment.
  • Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree in Computer Technology or related field and/or two to four years prior experience with providing help desk and network support, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
Computer Skills
Experience in hardware support, Windows desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and a working knowledge of TCP/IP.Applicants with experience in any of the following are preferred: VBA, C#, Windows Server Operating Systems, Virtual Environments (VM Ware), Exchange Server or SQL. Must be able to learn new software as needed.
Communication Skills
Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Must possess the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and the ability to create and effectively present technical training programs. Must have strong communication and training skills and be able to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
Mathematical Skills
Must possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands
The employee is frequently required to sit, and is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and color vision.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an encountered while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the office work environment is low, and in the production work environment is usually loud. There is a wide variation of temperatures ranging from 35° F to 100° F in the various production work areas, and the production work environment is wet and slippery most times. Partners are required to wear frocks, hairnets, slip-resistant footwear, and hearing protection at all times when on the production floor.
