SERVER- JOB DESCRIPTION AND EXPECTATIONS
- At Salt and Vine we strive to give our guests the most comfortable and enjoyable dining experience possible.
- A great attitude, and a passion for food and drink is always required!
- We expect you to be on time for every shift, please call the restaurant if you will be running late
- As a server you are responsible for greeting your guests, presenting menus if necessary, and explaining daily/weekly specials
- Be extremely knowledgeable of all menus and be ready for any questions a guest might ask
- Be very aware and sensitive of any food allergies, and YOU are responsible for informing the management/chef of all allergies
- Take careful and accurate food and beverage orders and be extremely familiar with our Toast POS system
- Know seat numbers and ring in your order accordingly.
- Help to run food out of the kitchen as well as drinks from the bar to the correct tables
- Able to pace out and time your tables food and beverage orders according to the pace of the dining room as a whole—and the pace of your guest’s experience
- Prepare itemized checks and take payment
- Be responsible for the maintenance of all your tables. Making sure your guests are dining in a tidy, uncluttered table. It’s your real estate!
- Be responsible for your fair share of running, opening and end of the night side work
- Must be a team player!
