SummaryThe Senior Information Stewardship Analyst serves as the liaison between the business community, the technical development team(s) who support the systems the community uses, data governance and data management initiatives. This role works closely with the data strategy, architecture, analytics, data ownership operations teams, and change management, primarily focused on supporting and advancing the newly launched Enterprise Data Stewardship program and other analytics user groups. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders from core data management functions across SRP to stay informed of and influence strategy, technology, policies, standards, guidelines, and best practices, related to managing information through the data lifecycle. You’ll share responsibility for enabling the data community members to become proficient in their data roles through consistent and effective communication of relevant information, facilitating community gatherings, tracking participation, and maintaining and developing scalable competency-based training material.
What You'll Do
  • Design and deliver awareness, educational, and mentoring materials to support Data Steward role development.
  • Develop and facilitate community meetings and discussions to reinforce data governance principles and the importance of adopting data management capabilities, ensuring SRP’s data assets are managed throughout the lifecycle.
  • Create, plan and support community-focused events to increase community connections and surface challenges for program improvement.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new community members.
  • Measure program participation and identify ways to improve member engagement.
  • Collaborate with a diverse array of stakeholders, from technical teams to business leaders
  • Leverage data expertise to support data governance and data management initiatives.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all procedures and activities performed.
  • Handle other duties and projects as assigned.
RequiredWhat It Takes To Succeed
  • Work experience as a Data Steward, Data Analyst, or similar role.
  • Experience creating training and coordinating and facilitating interactive workshops.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and adapting to evolving program requirements.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills and the ability to target messaging to different audiences.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, MS Visio and Advanced Excel.
Preferred
  • Experience in data governance, data management practices, and data quality concepts.
  • Experience with data management technology (e.g., Collibra)
ExperiencePromotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years experience at Level 1 and demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor. Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of 3 years experience at Level 2, is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.
EducationCompletion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.
Hybrid WorkplaceSRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
