SummaryResponsible for supervising and directing engineers and technicians in assignments involving the planning, design, construction, operations, and maintenance of SRP facilities. Establishes capital and O&M budget requirements and administers budgets.
What You'll Do
  • Manages and trains, develops and supervises professional and technical engineering personnel in the planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of assigned projects.
  • Develops long and short range plans, capital and O&M budgets. Develops manpower requirements and schedules for assigned projects and operates within budget.
  • Directs planning, design, construction & startup operation of projects with other engineering disciplines, SRP depts., project management, service groups and consultants.
  • Assures productivity improvements by establishing, monitoring and implementing productivity indicators and recommending process changes.
  • Reviews and approves designs, plans, material specifications and material purchases and assures projects are completed within cost and schedule.
  • Manages the selection/coordination and administration of outside consulting engineers contracted for work in support of projects.
  • Provides the resources for construction administration and management for projects not managed by Project Management.
  • Directs engineers and technicians in performing value engineering analysis.
  • Key participant in consultation process with local governmental agencies on work related items.
What It Takes To SucceedPE or applicable professional registration preferred.
ExperienceMinimum of 8 years cumulative and progressive exempt level professional experience.
EducationCompletion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.
Hybrid WorkplaceSRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
