Salus University is seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Full Time Marketing Communications Coordinator.

Primary Function: The Marketing Communications Coordinator will manage a wide range of communications, marketing, and administrative tasks that raise the visibility of the academic programs and community initiatives for Salus University and its clinical facilities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contributes and edits (initiate, research write and fact check) transcripts, articles and content for websites, newsletters, emails, brochures and other communication vehicles (internal and external audiences). Proofreads content to ensure adherence to AP Style and oversees brand guardianship, ensuring all programs and messages are consistent with the brand guidelines
  • Manages the development, design, production, distribution, final deliverables, and marking on both internal and external publications, including the bi-annual magazine and annual report
  • Coordinates press releases and media advisories to secure media publicity, posting about events and developing promotional items such as signs, banners, displays, etc.
  • Assists in the development of social media elements (e.g. graphic templates, reels, etc.) and coordinates with various constituencies for deployment of elements
  • Assists the Clinical Marketing Coordinator on local event opportunities and in the coordination of event participation (e.g. packing for events, recruiting staff/students to work events, evaluation ROI after events, etc.)
  • Develops relationships across the university and externally with partners of the university and its clinical facilities
  • Works with academic programs and clinical facilities to formulate strategic and targeted communication and marketing strategies; this role drive innovation and excellence within the area of strategic communications
  • Conducts local, regional, and national monitoring to ensure Salus University and its clinical facilities are deploying the most innovative strategic communication practices
  • Communicates with vendors and team members on scheduling needs and deadlines, costs, etc. related to projects
  • Coordinates and manages key administrative duties and overall administrative support for the office
  • Manages the development and processing of project-related documents including but not limited to proposals, purchase orders, payments, agreements, and contracts
  • Screens incoming phone calls and visitors to the department and provides direction
  • Other administrative or communication duties as assigned

Education / Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field
  • Two or three years of experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Hootsuite, Adobe Creative Suite, email platforms, Project Management Software and Content Management Systems

Skills and Other Requirements:

  • Experience in higher education preferred.
  • Excellent public speaking, writing and editing skills.
  • Must possess a high energy level, self-confidence, and a positive attitude; superb interpersonal, communication, and project management skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Self-starter with multi-tasking ability; flexible to take on ever-changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to facilitate activities and actively work both University and clinical events.
  • Ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments, and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency on all projects.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
  • High level of judgment to make independent decisions, able to work with minimal supervision and take initiative.
  • "Can do" personality and creative sensibility to increase awareness of Salus and its clinical facilities.

Salary Range: $48,000-$50,000 based on experience
