Salvation Army is Hiring a Weekend Supervisor Near San Francisco, CA
OVERVIEW: The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time applicant to supervise staff and participants of the Joseph McFee Center on weekends. The Joseph McFee Center (JMC), a recovery-focused transitional housing program for San Franciscans exiting residential treatment, provides participants the opportunity to build on progress made in early recovery and holistically work toward a healthy, independent, and prosperous life. Under the supervision of the Program Manager, they will be responsible for overseeing JMC operations on weekends. COMPENSATION:
$31.25 - $32.93 Hourly Range
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all duties according to policy and procedure and The Salvation Army's philosophy of care
Serve as the weekend lead for all client-facing and facility matters
Oversee and facilitate resident-related community-building activities both internally and externally
Oversee client success: intake & assessment, individual service plans, ongoing case management, referrals, support groups, and other services that respond to the needs of clients
Provide ongoing supportive and/or case management functions in accordance with the problems, needs and strategies identified within the individual service plan to help the clients achieve the stated goals and objectives
Provide support, encouragement, accountability, and regular evaluation for clients while maintaining confidentiality
Track resident case notes, outcomes, and program deliverables
Connect residents with needed and available community resources (internal and external), follow up with clients and agencies as appropriate to document use/success of referral
Track resident case notes, outcomes, and program deliverables
Provide oversight, supervision, training, and evaluation for JMC staff
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures of The Salvation Army and the State of California
Produce and maintain various program reports relating to operations and administration
Provide regular written and oral reports as needed to the Program Director and Program Manager
Oversee meal delivery
Other related duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Two years' experience in supervisory or management role
Experience in addiction recovery or mental health fields
CA Driver License (required)

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop and implement solutions
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with little direct supervision
Ability to work with a highly diverse population
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and the ability to handle challenging situations
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment, including Microsoft Office
Self-motivated and able to motivate others
Strong knowledge of Salvation Army programs, practices, policies, and organization desirable
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (Usually file boxes)
