**Description**

The Salvation Army is hiring for full-time Donation Attendant/Material Handler at our Covina Store. Great opportunity to get a start or improve your customer service skills with donors while contributing to the success of our Adult Rehabilitation Program. For information on this position, please read below:

**ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:**

- Maintain and clean up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift.

- Appear neatly and cleanly dressed in suitable clothing as per The Salvation Army dress code policy'

- Courteously assist the donor in the receipt of donated items from the donor and provide receipt'

- Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.

- Separate and sort all donated material into the proper containers, and properly stack material as instructed by the Supervisor.

- Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations on to trucks as necessary.

- Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (i.e.: brooms, receipts, totes, carts, etc.).

- Must secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.

- Must be have flexible availability for scheduling purposes.

- Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

* High School graduate or equivalent

* Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and donors

* Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:

* Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.

* Ability to grasp, push, pull objects up to 75lbs. with or without assistance

* Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
