The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a trusted advisor and thought partner to individual business units or departments. The HRBP champions Samaritan’s culture and provides advice to effectively execute Human Resources processes with a goal of achieving measurable service plan deliveries. The HRBP manages the relationship with individual business units within the organization. This individual is the primary contact point for all Labor and Employee Relations questions, concerns and communications. The Human Resources Business Partner interprets and ensures compliance with applicable employment laws, regulatory guidelines and collective bargaining agreements
In addition to the duties listed above:
Primary focus of this position is acting as Human Resource Liaison to both Long Term Care facilities. Fostering relationships with current management, giving guidance with employee disciplines, terminations and general contract/policy information. In addition the HRBP will be required to maintain union relationship, following contract guidelines and sourcing any information for situations warranting discipline. Following through with timely union notifications per contract for grievances and conducting any investigative/interviewing needed to complete and satisfy employer obligations. The HRBP must be an organized individual able to assess and respond to any said situation within 24-48 hours, keeping a tracking log to ensure accuracy and time frames. The HRBP will float between 2 facilities (2days at one and 3 at the other) with flexibility to change it up based on need.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
· At least 2 years of labor and employee relations experience in Human Resources in a unionized setting.
· Knowledge of Federal, NY State and employment law and compliance issues is required.
· Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
