Starting Pay: $21.96/hour

The base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. Shift differentials have been included in the range. Pay is determined by factors including relevant experience, qualifications, specialty, internal equity and contracts.

Minimum Education Requirement :

• Graduate from a School of Nursing. Knowledge of new trends and techniques in Nursing.

Minimum Experience Requirement :

• Previous hospital L.P.N. experience is preferred.

• Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles.

• Demonstrates ability to provide quality patient care.

• Possesses ability to determine patient’s needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual.

• Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to determine a need for and implement use of lifts to lift and move patients in a safe manner.

• Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.

• Demonstrated commitment to quality, timely, and cost-effective patient care.

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.

• Detail attentiveness required.

• Individual must be self-motivated and willing to self-direct.

• Ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and projects with speed and accuracy.

• Able to work efficiently and effectively under time constraints. Demonstrated basic knowledge of mother-baby care.

• Flexible, multi-tasking and entergetic nurse to work in Mother Baby, Pediatrics, Surgical Scrub Tech, and Newborn Nursery assist.

Minimum License Requirement :

Current NYS LPN license. Current BLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer. IV certified within six months of employment. Neonatal Resuscitation Certified within 90 days of hire/transfer and maintained quarterly through RQI. PEARS certification within 90 days of hire/transfer and maintained every two years.
