What you can expect as the New Business Case Manager - Annuity:

Provide accurate and timely service to our most loyal independent agents and to our strategic broker-dealer back office partners. Service incoming phone calls related to New Business and Client Services. Process all New Business 1035 exchanges, transfers, and cash with application efficiently and precisely. Communicate with agents on requirements for Client Service forms.

  • Provide superior customer service via telephone (inbound & outbound), email, or written communication, handling both New Business and Client Services to a group of our most loyal, top producing agents and offices (2nd tier) and for all of our broker dealer distribution partners.
  • Process New Business annuity applications from receipt to issuance and service all inforce activity for this group of loyal, top producing agents and offices (2nd tier).
  • Adhere to a heightened service level expectations for agents that qualify for this level of premier service.
  • Understand the intricacies of our broker dealer back office processes and business model.
  • Process applications and corresponding paperwork and document any outstanding requirements. Apply premium and issue contracts. Independently conduct initial review and make judgment and decisions that fall within prescribed policies and limits; know when to involve management for items outside scope of authority. Initiate telephone communication with and educate agent regarding review results.
  • Maintain an in depth knowledge of annuity order entry platforms along with DTCC money settlement, attachment processing and the intricacies of broker dealer back offices operations.
  • Manage cases with a sense of urgency, commitment to accuracy, and responsiveness; recognize high priority situations and respond accordingly.
  • Understand all aspects of our business and the full life cycle of an annuity policy including, initial receipt of an application, issuance of the policy, and any post issues transactions.
  • Work continuously on positive relationship development with external and internal customers.
  • Communicate detailed and sometimes complex requirements and status updates to agents regarding pending New Business applications and financial and non-financial transactions, including claims.
  • Monitor personal work to verify accuracy and ensure compliance with company standards and regulations, including understanding all changes (i.e. system, regulatory, rate, product, continuous improvement, and transformational changes) that affect Sammons Financial Group Companies (Sammons Financial Group) and industry. Maintain minimum individual quality and productivity metrics.
  • Use comprehensive knowledge of annuity contracts, government regulations, and departmental policies and procedures to provide support to New Business Specialists and other departments as situations warrant.
  • Conduct application analysis on all products, while maintaining detailed notes/accounts of any changes or progress on cases.
  • Analyze complex information, use resources to identify solutions, and follow through on resolution of issues promptly and professionally.
  • Identify defects and provide support to other team members when questions arise around poor quality items. Report situations, as needed, with suggested modifications to procedures, systems, and workflow to ensure efficient effective processing of transactions.
  • Remain flexible to change, including providing service to new partners, as Sammons Financial Group continues to grow and change.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain knowledge of New Business and Client Services, system enhancements, and professional skills.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 1-3 years' relevant work experience in life insurance or annuity industry preferred
  • Minimum 1 year work experience with Sammons Financial Group Companies preferred
  • Proficient use of PC and Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer centric mindset
  • Excellent decision making skills with the ability to confidently solve problems innovatively to find ?win-win? solutions
  • Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently
  • Able to adapt to frequent change
  • Ability to work periodic overtime, sometimes with relatively short notice
