PAY GRADE: 66

SALARY: Begins at $39,828 per year with comprehensive benefits package

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The primary purpose of this position is to provide skilled administrative support work preparing and maintaining financial accounts and records according to standardized accounting practices, and related work as assigned. Applicants must be computer savvy, self-motivated, personable, detail oriented, familiar with accounting procedures and possess excellent customer service skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Position requirements include a thorough knowledge of general accepted governmental accounting principles and procedures and departmental policies, practices, and procedures, bookkeeping terminology and standard office procedures; the ability to make arithmetical computations quickly and accurately, to post accounts with speed and accuracy, to efficiently operate a variety of office machines and a personal computer including thorough knowledge of applicable software packages, maintain files and financial records and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, vendors and the general public.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A minimum of an associate degree in a business field supplemented by experience in an office setting is desired. Applicants may be required to participate in skills assessment screening.
